Just getting ready to post an update to the News section about this issue, wanted realized that most of my thoughts would be more appropriate to share with you here in the community.

The Brian Flemming documentary film about the Gates assassination has changed titles from "MacArthur Park" to "Nothing So Strange." I'm not real sure what I think about that, it's certainly doesn't have the scholarly documentary feel that Flemming always led me to believe he was making.

Of course, I should withhold judgement, since I've not seen the film. In fact, I asked Brian Flemming to send me a copy to review (after all, he interviewed me at the First Annual Research Conference, so I would think that just a professional courtesy) but he declined. He did, though, invite me to come to the film festival to see the debut. Well, perhaps invite is too-strong a term -- he suggested that I could see it in Utah if I'd like, but that he wasn't doing any screenings or providing any review copies in advance of that date.

But, at the very least, this could finally generate some attention for this issue again (in much the way "Waco: Rules of Engagement" did for it's own pet issue.) I just hope that Flemming handled the issues with more sensitivity and objectivity than many of those tabloid investigations and made-for-TV movies did (but then you all know my position on that.)
